Born and raised in Peru, DJ Gary G was influenced by Latin rhythms, rock and roll, metal, and later by EDM, techno, breaks, drum and bass, and others.

Like most drummers, DJ Gary began by playing rock and metal. He is a self-taught drummer and percussionist who, buoyed by his passion for rhythm, Latin percussion, and electronic music, combined all three in his performances. He began in 2013 with his unique style, blending live percussion with DJing simultaneously, using bongos, congas, timbales, the Afro-Peruvian cajón, among others.

He has played in some of the most important clubs in Lima, such as Dragón, Sargento Pimienta, Céntrica, Dalí, Mute, Corona Sunsets, and Bizarro, as well as in major cities across Peru, including Piura, Trujillo, Cajamarca, Huancayo, Pacasmayo, and Lobitos. He has shared the booth with DJs like Claptone, Leonardo Gonnelli, John Acquaviva, Harvard Bass, and Ronan Portela.

Gary G moved to Miami in 2021 and has performed in lounges like Osaka, Baires, and Tanuki. He is also working on releasing his fourth single at the end of May 2025.

With a vision to promote local DJs in Miami, Gary G founded his own DJ agency, “Born2Party,” not only to promote these artists but also to organize special parties at small venues, on the beach, and on boats.
